DREAMED I WAS

IN A FIELD

the earth, night driving
one big loop, the lunar rock

                the trusty rearview

lighthouse behind me

null but for your strobe-lit face

                rhythm lit, smiling

we wink reflected

        mirror involuntarily

                become periscopes
