Blast all your vinyl

until the flies have fled.

Massage your gold-prize goldfish.

Make sure your pet rock’s fed.

Re-claw your ferocious feline.

Sadly your curtains shred.

Moisturize your boas.

Now their skin won’t shed.

Wash your cashmere sweaters.

Tug out your loose wool threads.

Walk miles in your shoes.

Break in your wingtips’ tread.

Interrogate your neighbors.

Pound doors until they’ve pled.

Donate your half-read books.

You’ll watch t.v. instead.

Slap up bright murals.

The new off-white is red.

Research your rosebud.

Unpack your childhood sled.

Study up on alchemy.

Turn old gold to lead.

Nail up your Murphy.

Sleep upright, half dead.
